Aimed at supporting utilities in their efforts to modernize their long-term grid planning framework. Eaton’s CYME is pleased to announce the new CYME 9.3 including additional functionality related to long-term planning in the scope of the Steady State Analysis, the Advanced Project Manager, and the Long-Term Planner. The version brings several updates reflected in the most recent standards covering Fault, Arc Flash Hazards, and Reliability Analyses. Key new functionalities that deliver added capabilities are now available, such as Flicker Assessment and new nonlinear models for DER fault contributions, both for grid-connected and islanded microgrid simulations. Improvements have also been made to the load flow to improve convergence on circuit models with multiple controls.

Following clean energy trends and integrating the most recent cable thermal rating advances, Eaton’s CYME is pleased to announce the new CYMCAP 8.2 software version including a new module for submarine cable installations as well as a wide range of enhanced capabilities and new functionalities. As part of the Brightlayer Utilities suite, CYMCAP power cable ampacity software helps design engineers increase system reliability and supports the proper utilization of installed equipment by efficiently calculating ampacity and temperature rise of power cable installations.
